The founding collections of the Hoover Institution Archives include the extensive files of the Commission for Relief in Belgium, the US Food Administration, and the American Relief Administration in Europe and Russia. Hoover added materials such as nationalist pamphlets that he acquired in the course of his work for the Paris Peace Conference.   In this issue of the SGGEE Journal, we have two articles. The first article is a translation of a German story of the Fuchs family and their travails starting in until they were able to receive visas to leave the Soviet Union and enter West Germany in The article was sent to us from Kirsten Peterson, a SGGEE member from Denmark.
